Hi everyone!

Our first month at the Library is finished and we couldn’t be more excited! Our first month defiantly had its up’s and down’s; due to the hurricane as well as Labor Day, but we are finally back on schedule! In September we had about 12 volunteers and served over 20 students!! Great progress for a new program and I can’t thank my Serve 912 trip leaders enough for bringing students every Monday to help out and volunteer!!

We have been working with kids from age 5 all the way up to age 18! Math and science homework, reading books and doing spelling words are just a few of the things we have had the opportunity to do!!

Hurricane Irma unfortunately made us lose an entire week working with the kiddos, but that did not slow us down by any means! Every Monday the kids are exciting and waiting for us to announce that Eagle Time is starting! Seeing new faces and having parents reach out to me about bringing their kids in to start participating!

September was a GREAT first month and I am looking forward to the rest of the semester!!!
